Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Where do I start?

Very easy! You have to fill out the trial class form here and I will contact you for all the details. If you prefer to start right away, you can book the classes directly without taking the trial class.

What's the trial class like?

This is a free session of approximately 30 minutes. We will meet online and talk about your needs and objectives, in order to personalise your classes. I will also explain how the classes work and answer all your questions.

What methodology is used in the classes?

We will rely on the communicative method, so the classes will focus on activities for all language skills (reading, listening, writing and speaking).

How do online classes work?

Classes are 55 minutes each session. During the class, we will do activities to practice all language skills. After each class, you can have some extra activities to do on your own. However, these exercises are optional, it’s up to you if you want to do them.

What do I need for classes?

For the classes we will use the Skype or Zoom platforms. You will simply need a computer with an internet connection and an account on the platform chosen for the class. If you don’t have it, take it easy, we can create it together. I’ll also create a shared folder in Google Drive so you have access to all the documents whenever you want. I will explain everything in the trial class.

How do I pay for classes?

You can pay for the classes by bank transfer or PayPal. Once you book your classes here, I will send you an email with all the information regarding the payment. All classes will be paid in advance. Class changes may be made, but you do not get the money back. Attention! Any commissions on banking platforms will be borne by the student.

Can I cancel or modify my class?

You can cancel or change your class 24 hours in advance of the agreed time. If you cancel the class later or don’t show up, the class will be considered as given. Of course you can change the time of your class more than 24 hours in advance.

Do I need to buy a book?

You won’t need any books. During the classes we will use our own material and other resources such as books, web pages, newspapers, etc. You will have access to all this material free of charge via our shared Drive or by email. We will also have an online document that will serve as our notebook for all our classes. However, I can recommend a book if you are interested.

How long will it take to improve?

It’s up to you. Each student is different and their progress has to do with many factors such as prior language knowledge, motivation, workload, solo practice… However, if you have language level zero, I recommend starting with 2 hours per week. Pasito a pasito.

If you have further questions, feel free to contact me using the contact form.

I’ll be happy to help you!
